Hoku Nai’a is Capt. Dave’s new double-deck power catamaran. This vessel is perfect for upscale boat rentals such as dinner cruises, harbor tours, birthday parties, a burial at sea, family reunion, corporate functions, Catalina Island adventures, daytime coastal experiences including whale watching and much more.
This fast and stable catamaran is specifically designed for passenger comfort and panoramic views from both the main deck and the elevated observation deck.

During your private boat rental of Hoku Nai’a, guests will enjoy a beautifully appointed interior with upscale décor throughout the vessel that celebrates Dana Point’s famous surfing culture and recognition as the Dolphin and Whale Watching Capital of the World®.
Other special features include surfboard tables, an illuminated bar top, two barbecue grills, and a foosball table. Hoku Nai’a is fast and stable!
On the first floor, the main deck is fully enclosed for climate control.
As you enter, a lounge area with three sofas provides a comfortable place to relax and chat. Moving forward of the lounge are plenty of bench seats with surfboard tables. Perfect for dining! And towards the front of the boat is a buffet. Large windows on both sides provide panoramic viewing angles.
Heading upstairs to the second floor, the observation deck has cushioned bench seating with custom wildlife artwork and is covered for added sun protection. The observation deck provides an excellent elevated platform for viewing whales and dolphins.
For specialty cruises and private charters, a dance floor and illuminated bar provide guests with entertainment and refreshments!

There is no minimum group size needed for a private boat rental on Hoku Nai’a.

On Hoku Nai’a you are very unlikely to be splashed by the ocean. However, you can still be close enough to the whales to smell their breath!

Full catering, bar, and buffet options are available. Hoku Nai’a has two barbecue grills on board for freshly prepared cuisine. A beverage bar with illuminate countertop is on the second deck. Please ask your Charter Coordinator for more information.
